The Reid Family recognize that Black and Indigenous talent is significantly underrepresented in the Canadian distilling industry. As a small family business, it is our hope that this scholarship creates a lasting and significant change in Canadian distilling. Creating an industry that more accurately reflects the community it serves is the purpose of the Reid's Distillery Student Scholarships.
The brand pillars of Reid's Distillery are authenticity, education, storytelling and community. As such, we want to ensure that all qualified applicants are able to meet with owners and tour Reid's Distillery if interested. Final recipients of Reid's Distillery Student Scholarship will have access to Reid's Distillery and the ownership team during their course of study for support. Final graduates will be provided an opportunity to interview for a paid summer internship with Reid's Distillery.
