Winter 2025 Cocktail Classes at Reid’s Distillery embraced everything we love about cold-weather cocktail season — warming spices, rich citrus, festive bubbles, and comforting flavours designed for holiday gatherings and cozy nights out.
As our seasonal cocktail program continued to grow, this winter menu focused on approachable recipes that balanced bright citrus with warming botanicals and seasonal ingredients like maple, rosemary, chocolate, and berries. Guests explored classic cocktail techniques including muddling fresh fruit, building cocktails directly in glassware, and balancing rich winter flavours with acidity and texture.
From sparkling French 75-inspired cocktails to berry-forward smashes and chocolate orange winter sippers, the Winter 2025 lineup delivered elegant seasonal cocktails that were both festive and approachable to recreate at home.
Maple French 75
A winter-inspired twist on the classic French 75 featuring warming maple syrup, fresh lemon, and Reid’s Spiced Gin topped with bubbly.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Maple Simple Syrup
- 1 oz Lemon Juice
- 1 oz Reid’s Spiced Gin
- 1 oz Bubbly
Method
- Combine maple simple syrup, lemon juice, and Reid’s Spiced Gin into a shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously until chilled.
- Strain into a flute glass.
- Top with bubbly.
- Garnish with cinnamon.

Winterberry Smash
A bright and refreshing winter cocktail combining muddled blueberries, lime, and botanical gin flavours.
Ingredients
- 5 Blueberries
- 0.75 oz Simple Syrup
- 1 oz Lime Juice
- 1 oz Reid’s Signature Gin
Method
- Muddle blueberries in the bottom of a shaker.
- Add simple syrup, lime juice, and Reid’s Signature Gin.
- Add ice and shake vigorously.
- Dirty pour into a stemless wine glass.
- Garnish with a sprig of rosemary.

Reid’s Chocolate Orange
A rich winter cocktail layered with orange, chocolate, and citrus botanicals. This cocktail was heavily inspired by a childhood favourite of the Reid family — the classic Terry’s Chocolate Orange — bringing together nostalgic chocolate-citrus flavours in a smooth and festive cocktail format.
Ingredients
- 0.25 oz Simple Syrup
- 2 oz Orange Juice
- 1 dash Chocolate Bitters
- 0.5 oz Crème de Cacao
- 0.5 oz Triple Sec
- 1 oz Reid’s Citrus Gin
Method
- Add all ingredients into a rocks glass with a king cube.
- Stir gently until chilled and combined.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings.
