Spiced Martinez- Reid' Gin Cocktail

One of the oldest cocktails around and often credited to legendary bartender Jerry Thomas appearing in his cocktail book published in 1887.  A spirit forward cocktail the spiced gin combined with the cubeb berries make it much more flavourful than the traditional Martinez.

  • 50ml of Reid’s Spiced Gin
  • 15ml of Dry Vermouth
  • 5ml of simple syrup
  • 6-8 Cubeb Berries crushed
  • Dehydrated orange

In a mixing glass or bottom half of a shaker filled with ice, pour in 50ml of Reid’s Spiced Gin, 15ml of Dry Vermouth  and 5 ml of Simple Syrup.  Stir and then strain into a martini glass or rocks glass with large ice cubes.  Grind Cubeb berries on top for garnish and add a slice of dehydrated orange to finish
